Applications

The first (demo) application of Rainbow aims at analysis and semantic retrieval of bicycle offers. The overall architecture looks as follows:

For this purpose, an integrating control-flow component as well as an end-user HTML query interface (see picture below, details in paper Sv04d) have been developed. The XML repository for source (XHTML) data is powered by AmphorA from the Technical University of Ostrava, and the RDF repository for extracted facts is powered by Sesame from Amsterdam.
